Good Afternoon!
It was a significant week here at Jerome even though we are quiet. On Wednesday Dublin City Schools held a ceremonial groundbreaking for our new addition slated to open in 2022-23. I know if you have been around you have noticed a few changes. We are very excited for this additional space and the learning that will take place.
Some quick facts about the new addition:

• Enrollment Changes: ’05-’06: 1259/’21-’22: 1934. This is a 57% increase in less than 20 years.
• This will add 59,000 sq. ft of new space with another as well as some renovated spaces in the current building.
• Our capacity will rise to 2400 students.
• Scheduled completion date is Fall 2023 with the elimination of all portables!

Thank you for all you help and support every day including the no new millage bond issue passed in 2018. We are all going to work collaboratively in this wonderful space to ensure that our students have a personalized, elite education and prepare them for success in life after high school.

Construction Update (7.1.22)
The crews have begun digging the footers for the additions.
There will continue to be heavy traffic around Jerome throughout the summer so please use caution when you are driving or walking around the building.
If you need to enter the building, please use Brand Entrance (Door 1), Hyland-Cory Entrance (Door 7) Athletics Entrance (Door 10).
We are also asking that no staff, coaches, or students use the access road to the stadium. We are trying to limit activity and any potential disruptions to the contractors.

3 v. 3 Crossover for Cures
Five Jerome Seniors are cofounders of Crossovers for Cures. They are holding a fundraiser to support the fight against epilepsy. Please register here!

DJHS UPDATES
School Supplies
As a general reminder the high school does not send out supply lists to begin the year. Some general helpful items:

• Have a backpack. We are continuing to decrease the use of lockers and this allows students to move about more freely.
• Start the first day with a notebook, pens/pencil, and Chromebook.
• Each classroom teacher will share necessities on their syllabus the first few days of school.

Graduation Photos
Congratulations on your Class of 2022 Graduate! HR Imaging, our school photography partner, photographed each graduate as they received their diploma. As a reminder, instructions to access the proof and ordering information will be sent to your senior’s school email address, as well as mailed to your home address within 48-72 hours of the event.
