Evaluations will be held at the Powell YMCA on the following dates and times. All new swimmers must register for a timeslot in the My JVCC app prior to their evaluation.
– Saturday, April 26^th | 8am – 12pm
– Sunday, April 27^th | 1 – 5pm

Ability Requirements: The Jerome Village Swim Team is not a replacement for swim lessons and all new swimmers must pass an evaluation.

• Swimmers 9 and older must be able to swim 50 meters (2 lengths of the lap pool) freestyle and 25-meter backstroke without stopping and with controlled breathing.
• Swimmers 8 and younger must be able to float comfortably on both front and back, and swim 25-meters freestyle and backstroke.

Swimmers who are unable to complete the evaluation requirements will receive a refund for the registration fee and are welcome to register for swimming lessons which will be announced at a later date to better qualify for future participation.

Please note: Temperatures of Lap Pools are typically held at a lower temperature than recreational swimming pools.
